UPDATE - BRIDGE CLOSURE: LA 3049 over Dooley Bayou, Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 3/2/2026): DOTD advises motorists that this project to replace the LA 3049 bridge over Dooley Bayou in Caddo Parish has been rescheduled to begin on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Original notification - 2/26/2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, March 11, 2026, LA 3049 bridge over Dooley Bayou south of the Village of Gilliam in Caddo Parish will be closed for replacement.
This bridge is located approximately 1.6 miles south of the intersection with LA 170.
The closure is anticipated to last approx. 4.5 months, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that may impact construction timelines.
DOTD is sending out this notification on behalf of the Office of Louisiana Highway Construction (OLHC), who is managing construction activities for non-federal aid (NFA) routes. Inquiries regarding this project should be directed to OLHC.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. ALL vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Appropriate detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
