ROAD CLOSURE: LA 526 (Bert Kouns) near LA 3132, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on the night of Saturday, March 14, 2026, LA 526 (Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) at the railroad crossing near the Auto Mall in Shreveport will be closed.
This full road closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. for one (1) night, and is necessary to allow Union Pacific Railroad crews to perform repairs to the crossing at this location.
This crossing is located approximately 1,200 feet north of the interchange with LA 3132.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. ALL vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Vehicles will be detoured via LA 3132, LA 523, and LA 1 – detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
