PROJECT UPDATE: LA 30 Roadway Improvement - Iberville Parish
Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 1:58:10 PM
ST. GABRIEL, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that work continues on the $3 million state project to improve LA 30 between LA 74 and the East Baton Rouge Parish line in Iberville Parish.

As of this week, asphalt patching operations are expected to be completed, with asphalt paving scheduled to begin next week, weather permitting. The project remains on schedule for completion in late April, subject to weather conditions.

The project includes patching, milling, and overlaying the roadway, as well as replacement of guardrail, mailboxes, and roadway striping along the corridor.

Motorists should continue to expect daily alternating lane closures on LA 30. Work is taking place Monday through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Traffic will be directed through the work zone, and one lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to plan accordingly or seek alternate routes when possible.

The lane closures are necessary to safely complete asphalt patching, milling, and overlay operations. All construction activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

This project is made possible through additional funding allocated by the Louisiana Legislature through the Louisiana Transportation Infrastructure Fund (LTIF).
