UPDATE: NOW OPEN – Old Minden Road (LA 72) ramps (3 of 4) at I-20, Bossier Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that three of the four ramps at the Old Minden Road (LA 72) interchange in Bossier City have officially been REOPENED to traffic following their full reconstruction as part of the ongoing I-20 major rehabilitation project.

The eastbound on- and off-ramps and the westbound off-ramp are now back open. The westbound on-ramp is anticipated to reopen the week of October 21st, following some final work items.

This interchange is the first to be fully removed and rebuilt along the 3.5 mile stretch of I-20 that is currently also undergoing the same type of reconstruction. The Industrial Drive interchange is also being reconstructed at this time, with paving on those ramps gearing up soon.

The overall project, which began in September 2023, marks another milestone with the Old Minden Road ramps re-opening, as this extensive rehabilitation work is the first of its kind for this particular section of interstate in north Louisiana.
