U.S. 190 from I-12 to the Claiborne Hills overpass
The Department of Transportation and Development hosted a public meeting on Wednesday, June 18, to discuss a proposed safety project on U.S. 190 from I-12 to the Claiborne Hills overpass (E. Boston St.). The proposal would focus on improving the safety and efficiency of the roadway in the Covington area by restricting turning movements and closing some crossovers, changing some signals, and adding signals at U-turns.
The meeting was held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, June 18, at the Catholic Charities Northshore office at the corner of 69090 East Highway Service Road and Slemmer Road in Covington.
The purpose was to inform the public of the proposed project and to provide an opportunity for comments and concerns.
