The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the Pioneer Road Bridge Replacement Project on Monday, February 8, 2016 and will continue for approximately (3) three months. This bridge replacement project is located on Pioneer Road over Edmondson Creek which is approximately 0.3 miles north of the intersection of Oak Hill Road. This 0.010 mile long bridge replacement project will receive clearing and grubbing, drainage structures, class II base course, superpave asphaltic, precast prestressed girder span bridges, precast concrete piles and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Guinn Construction, LLC in the amount of $1,307,520.75.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will remove the existing bridge on Monday, February 8, 2016 and the roadway will be closed to all local and through traffic for the duration of the project.
