Baton Rouge Loop Tier 1 Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS)

Ascension, E. Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, & W. Baton Rouge Parishes

The Tier 1 Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Baton Rouge Loop is available for review and comment. You can find a hard copy at the Ascension, E. Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, & W. Baton Rouge Parish libraries. Volume 1 includes the study documentation and analyses, Volume 2 includes the document appendices, and Volume 3 contains large-scale mapping exhibits. An electronic copy of the FEIS document is also available online at http://www.brloop.com or on DOTD’s web site at BRLoop Tier 1 FEIS.

The Tier 1 FEIS addresses corridor alternatives for a circumferential controlled access toll roadway around Baton Rouge, Louisiana with two new Mississippi River crossings. The proposed facility would initially be four lanes with the capability to expand to six lanes within an average 400 foot right-of-way. The proposed Baton Rouge Loop would connect I-12 east of Baton Rouge near Walker to I-10 west of Baton Rouge, I-10 west of Baton Rouge to I-10 south of Baton Rouge, and I-10 south of Baton Rouge to I-12 east of Walker. The document also includes the Section 4(f) and 6(f) Evaluation.
