The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that, weather permitting, on Thursday, November 19, 2015 road construction work will begin on the Intersection of LA 114 at LA 1 near Hamburg, Louisiana. This 0.923 mile long road reconstruction project will receive clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, cold planing asphaltic concrete, class II base course, stone, recycled portland cement concrete, blended calcium sulfate, lime treatment, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, precast concrete piles, concrete slab span bridge, and related work.
This Contract was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction Co. LLC in the amount of $2,239,566.37
Permit/Detour Section
No loads wider than 11 feet will be allowed beginning November 19, 2015. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times; however, there will be periodical lane closures.
