DOTD to host public meeting concerning La. 511 (East 70th) widening project

WHAT:  DOTD will host a public meeting to present roadway safety improvements on La. 511 (East 70th) from La. 523 (Line Avenue) to Fern Avenue

                             

WHEN:  Tuesday, February 5, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

 

WHERE: Caddo Middle Magnet School, 7635 Cornelius Ln, Shreveport, LA 71106

 

WHO:    Representatives from DOTD will be present to provide information and answer questions.

 

MORE INFO: The upcoming project will widen the eastbound and westbound lanes of La. 511 between Fern Avenue and Creswell Road and construct a center turn lane.  In addition, the project will resurface the roadway from Creswell Road to La. 523.  Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2013 and take approximately one year to complete.  The project is being funded with federal and state safety funds. 

 

The meeting will allow the public to learn more about the project and to sign-up to receive periodic e-mail updates on the project’s progression.
