The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, October 12, 2015, LA 1189 will be closed at its east intersection with LA 1 in Marksville. The intersection will reopen on Friday, November 13, 2015. The closure is to allow the contractor to fully construct the intersection. Traffic flow on LA 1 will be otherwise unaffected.
Permit/Detour Section
The intersection of LA 1189 and LA 1 will be completely closed on the east side of LA 1 and the detour route is as follows:
South bound traffic will continue on LA 1 until reaching LA 452 and proceed north on LA 452 to LA 1189.
North bound traffic will exit LA 1 at LA 452 and proceed north on LA 452 to LA 1189.
The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
