LA 174, I-49-Red River Parish Line, Natchitoches Parish

The LA DOTD Engineer, David Pugh, advises the public that, weather permitting, work will begin during the week of February 4, 2013 on LA 174 in an eastward direction to the Red River Parish Line. The scope of work includes pavement patching, cold planing, saw cutting, surface preparation, 2” superpave asphaltic concrete overlay, aggregate surface course for shoulders and pavement striping.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction CO. LLC, (Alexandria, LA) in the amount of $354,871.22.
Permit/Detour section
Thru traffic will be maintained at all times but there will be periodic lane closures and minor delays associated with this work.
