DOTD to hold highway dedication ceremony for former employee, Greg Wall

BOSSIER CITY, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will hold a highway dedication ceremony Friday, Aug. 21, to honor former DOTD employee Greg Wall.

House Bill 227 of the 2015 Legislative Session, authored by Representative Jim Morris and Senator Barrow Peacock, designates the section of I-49 from the overpass at the U.S. 71 interchange near Gilliam, La., to the Arkansas State line to honor Mr. Wall. He was the area engineer responsible for most of the construction of I-49 North prior to his death from cancer on Aug. 17, 2014. The Governor of Louisiana signed this bill into law on May 22, 2015, with an effective date of Aug. 1, 2015.
