LA 16, from JCT LA 1019 – St. Helena Parish line will be under construction beginning January 28, 2013.  This work is expected to be completed in August, 2013.  Please be prepared for intermittent delays beginning on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm daily (weather permitting).  These lane closures are necessary while crews install new asphalt pavement and other related work.

This closure will allow vehicles up to 11 feet wide to pass through the construction zone.  The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles and loads will be under permit restrictions.  To avoid the construction zone, motorists may take LA 1019 to LA 1023 to LA 63 to LA 16 as an alternate route.
