The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development invites citizens to attend a Public Hearing offered on the proposed changes to the Causeway Boulevard - Earhart Expressway interchange.
Date/ Time: Tuesday, August 4, 2015 • 5:30 to 8:00 pm
Location: Pontiff Playground, Senior Center, 1521 Palm St, Metairie, LA 70001
The public is invited to attend between 5:30 and 8:00pm to view information, review the preferred alternative, and offer comments. The original environmental process concluded in 2008, but a subsequent traffic study indicated that some local traffic congestion could result from the previous preferred interchange design. Additional traffic flow improvements have been identified and a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) has been completed. Comments from the public and stakeholder groups regarding potential environmental effects associated with the revised project designs are welcomed and encouraged. All written statements and/or comments may be submitted either at the meeting or within 10 calendar days following the meeting:
