DOTD accepting student applications for Engineering Summer Program

BATON ROUGE, La. – Today, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that applications are being accepted for this year’s Engineering Summer Program. This program provides college students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in construction, maintenance, road and bridge design, and other transportation-related areas.

Candidates accepted into the 11 -week program will work full-time from June 1 to August 14. To be eligible, students are required to:
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher
  • Be classified as full-time juniors or seniors majoring in civil engineering.

The hourly wage for seniors is $16.45 and juniors is $14.81.

Interested candidates should submit a completed student employment application, resume and official transcript by April 30 to the DOTD Recruiting Office, Human Resources, P.O. Box 94245, Baton Rouge, LA 70804.
