Mile Post 4.18; Control Section 372-05
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 181 in Cheneyville, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad track. The work is being done on LA 181 approximately 0.04 miles west of the intersection of LA 181 and US 71 in Cheneyville (Milepost 4.18; Control Section 372-05). There will be intermittent closures on LA 181 starting on Thursday, January 8, 2015 and ending on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing rail through the crossing.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 181 to US 71 to US 167 to I-49 to LA 181. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
