Mile Post 10.29; Control Section 073-05
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 457 in Latanier, Rapides Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work is being done on LA 457 approximately 0.01 miles west of the intersection of LA 1 and LA 457 in Latanier. The closure will be Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6:00 AM with a reopening to traffic at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014. The closure is for Kansas City Southern Railroad to replace the track panel and the crossing surface.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 457 to LA 1 to LA 3170 to LA 457. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
