The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that on November 11, 2014 the intersection of LA 1189 and LA 1 will be closed on the west side of LA 1 to allow the contractor to construct the southbound widening. Traffic flow on LA 1 will be otherwise unaffected.

Permit/Detour Section
The intersection of LA 1189 and LA 1 will be completely closed on the west side of LA 1 and the detour route is as follows:

North bound traffic will continue on LA 1 until reaching LA 115 and proceed south on LA 115 to LA 1189.

South bound traffic will exit LA 1 at LA 115 and proceed south on LA 115 to LA 1189.

The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
