The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that weather permitting, on Monday, September 22, 2014 road construction work will begin on Ebony Street at US 71 in Bunkie. This 0.42 mile long relocation construction project will receive an 8.5” stone base course, 4” superpave asphaltic concrete and related work.  This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Progressive Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $221,705.30.

Permit/Detour Section
The roadway is being relocated to align with North Lexington Street. The existing Ebony Street crossing will be open to traffic at all times; however, there will be lane closures.
