Voorhies Crossing Bridge; Schexnayder Road, Bridge Replacement

On Wednesday, November 28, 2012, work will begin in Avoyelles Parish on Schexnayder Road over an unnamed creek, which will consist of removing the existing bridge and replacing it with two (2), 2700mm x 1500mm Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts. This will involve the closing of the road on December 3, 2012 for a duration of several weeks. This contract was awarded to Gerace Construction LLC for $1,297,403.00.

Permit/Detour Section
There will be a road closure at Schexnayder Road. No detour will be provided. Traffic is advised to seek alternate routes when traveling through this area.
