The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on LA 399 on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 and will continue for approximately (3) three months. The contractor intends to begin pulverizing the existing roadway and installing subgrade lime treatment. This asphaltic concrete overlay and in-place cement treated base project is located on LA 399 and begins at its intersection with LA 10 and ends at Fort Polk Maintained Area. This 6.709 mile long project will receive cold planing, lime treatment, in-place cement stabilized base course, superpave asphaltic concrete overlay and related work.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $2,874,413.70.

Permit/Detour section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. Unpaved surface conditions will exist during base course work.
