The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 174, Sabine Parish, will be closed at the Kansas City Southern Railroad track. The work being performed is approximately 0.1 of a mile from the intersection of US 171 and LA 174 on LA 174. The closure will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 7:00 AM with a reopening to traffic at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The closure is for Kansas City Southern Railroad to replace the track panel and the crossing surface.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time. The detour will be LA 174 to US 171 to LA 483 to LA 174. The detour can accept oversized loads. The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
