LAKE CHARLES, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development names Todd Landry new district administrator for District 07. This district includes Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis parishes. With headquarters based in Lake Charles, it encompasses 1,260 miles of roadway, 665 bridges on the state highway system, 547 bridges on municipal and parish roadways, six movable bridges-2 of which are operated 24 hours per day, one ferry and rest area and oversees more than $72 million in current construction projects.

Todd brings over 29 years of experience in road and bridge construction to DOTD. Additionally, having spent most of his professional career at DOTD, Todd’s background in the intricacies of state and federal guidelines, as it concerns infrastructure, will serve as an aid in addressing highly-complex engineering concerns.

Landry, a Louisiana native who holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL), joined DOTD in 1985 as an engineer in training. In 1993, he went on to serve as a project engineer in Jefferson Davis Parish for the next 18 years. Since 2011, he has served as Assistant District Administrator of Engineering for District 07.
