The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that weather permitting, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 road construction work will begin on LA 452 from Jeff LN to 1.2 miles East of Lock and Dam Road.
This 11.6 mile long road reconstruction project will receive drainage structures, pavement patching, cold planing, asphaltic concrete, binder and wearing courses, guard rails and related work. This project is anticpated to last approximately 4 months.
This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., L.L.C in the amount of $2,759,182.17.
Permit/Detour Section
No wide loads will be allowed beginning May 27, 2014. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times; however there will be lane closures. Unpaved roadway conditions will exist during the base course construction.
