Jefferson Highway East and West Bound Asphalt Riding Surface
Alternating closures of two lanes in each direction Jefferson Highway Eastbound from Plantation Drive to Jefferson Heights and ST. George to Plantation Drive Westbound 7:30 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. (9-1/2 hours each night) from Sunday 04 October 2012 through 5:00 A.M. Sunday 11 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M. The work consists of completing milling Jefferson and beginning placement of the new superpave asphaltic surface. Police will be on site to assist as needed. Westbound lane closures will not happen at the same time as the eastbound closures but will follow once eastbound work is completed on any individual night. All lanes will be open to traffic during the day. Businesses will have full access during the work.
Main Bridge
Westbound closure 10:00 P.M. until 1:30 A.M. and eastbound from 1:30 A.M. to 5:00 A.M. (7 hours each night) Tuesday 06 November 2012 until Wednesday Morning 07 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M. Staging of bridge deck materials and westbound approach preformed metal decking and reinforcing steel.
Complete Eastbank EASTBOUND Closure from 12:00 A.M. to 5:00 A.M. (5 hours each night ) on Wednesday 07 November 2012 through on Saturday 10 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M.
Complete Eastbank EASTBOUND Closure from 10:00 P.M.. to 5:00 A.M. (7 hours each night ) from Saturday Night 10 November 2012 until 5:00 A.M. Sunday Morning 11 November 2012. Should weather prevent the Saturday night closure the work will be done on Sunday night the 11 November 2012 at 10:00 P.M. and end on Monday 12 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M.
These closures are needed to place steel girder spans on the Eastbank EASTBOUND approaches. The beams have to be lifted over the new driving lanes to be set. Both lanes of the Westbound bridge and approaches will remain open during the complete Eastbound closures. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through if needed
Westbank River Road (LA 541) and Levee
Closure to through traffic under the bridge 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. (5 hours) on Wednesday 07 November 2012. The closure is for pressure washing the Pier adjacent to the road. A detour will be clearly Marked. The roadway will be clear to all traffic before and after school each day. Police will be on site to assist as needed. Emergency traffic will be allowed through.
Westbank US 90 at LA 18 in front of the 24/7 Convenience Store (Eastbank Bound)
Middle and left lane will be closed at 9:00 A.M. on Friday 09 November 2012 and will remain closed until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday 10 November 2012. Reason for the closure is to repair roadway panels.

Main Bridge
Complete closure of Westbank EASTBOUND bridge from 10:00 P.M. to 12:00 P.M. (14 hours) Friday 16 November 2012 at 10:00 P.M. until Saturday 17 November 2012 at 12:00 P.M. At 12:00 P.M. the Westbank EASTBOUND right lane will be reopened to cars and light commercial traffic until 10:00 P.M. At 10:00 P.M. on Saturday 17 November 2012 the westbank EASTBOUND approach will again be closed until 12:00 P.M. on Sunday 18 November 2012. At 12:00 P.M. on Sunday the right lane will be reopened to cars and light commercial traffic. Both Westbank EASTBOUND lanes will be completely opened at 5:00 A.M. on Monday 19 November 2012. As usual large trucks and commercial carriers will be restricted to the right lane. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through during all complete closures. The westbound approach and main bridge lanes will not be closed during the eastbound closures. The closures are to place concrete deck on the westbank EASTBOUND steel girder spans. Both lanes on the westbound side of the bridge will remain open.
Westbank River Road (LA 541) and Levee
Complete closure to through and pedestrian traffic from 9:00 A.M . to 2:00 P.M. (5 hours daily) and from 8:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. (8 hours daily) on Tuesday 13 November 2012 through Saturday Morning 17 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M. A detour will be clearly marked, police will be on hand to assist if needed. The closure is required in order to remove deck overhang from the Westbank westbound roadway over LA 541 and the Levee.
Westbank Bridge City Avenue/Seven Oaks Blvd at US 90 eastbound
Two lane alternating lane closures Under the new Eastbbound overpass 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. (5 hours daily) beginning Monday 12 November 2012 and Ending on Friday 16 November 2012 at 2:00 P.M. The lane restrictions are needed to place the overpass bridge deck overhangs.
Eastbank Jefferson Highway from Plantation to Jefferson Heights
Jefferson Highway Eastbound Middle and right lanes closed from Boyce to St. George Tuesday 13 November 2012 at 9:00 A.M. until Wednesday 14 November 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Placing protective concrete collar and adjusting/repairing waterline valve. Businesses and their customers will have full access during the lane restrictions, the closure duration is needed for concrete curing.
Two lane alternating lane closures beginning eastbound and moving to westbound Jefferson Highway from 7:30 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. (9-1/2 hours nightly) beginning on Sunday 11 November 2012 and ending at 5:00 A.M. on Friday 16 November 2012 at 5:00 A.M. Reason for the lane restrictions is to place final Superpave wearing surface on east and west bound Jefferson Highway and begin stripping operations. Police will be on hand to assist as needed. Businesses and their customers will have full access to the business.
Alternating lane closures 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Thursday 15 November 2012 through Friday 16 November 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Striping operations for the new road surface. Businesses and their customers will have full access to the business.
