DOTD announces closure of Judge Seeber (Claiborne Ave.) Bridge for repairs

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the westbound span of the Judge Seeber (Claiborne Avenue) Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9, from 6 a.m.-6 p.m., for repairs.

During the closure, contractors will install guide brackets and replace a seal on the motor that lifts the span. Motorists should use St. Claude or Florida Avenues as an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to drive with caution through the construction zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
