NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that most of the roadway closures due to the icy winter weather conditions have been cleared in the New Orleans area, and service has been restored at Lower Algiers to Chalmette ferry route.

DOTD officials will reopen the Crescent City Connection Bridge/U.S. 90 B HOV lanes today at 1 p.m. – its regular scheduled opening time.

In Orleans Parish, the only roadways that remain closed are Judge Seeber/Claiborne Avenue Bridge at La. 39 and Paris Road /Green Bridge across the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet at La. 47, which was the scene of a multi-vehicle accident Friday night. DOTD is currently assisting local law enforcement to clear vehicles from the area.

All other roadways, in and around the New Orleans metro area, have been safely reopened.
