DOTD announces closure of LA 308 for Lafourche Parish construction activity

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces La. 308, between the La. 1247 Bridge in Labadieville and the La. 3185 Bridge in Thibodaux, will be closed to thru traffic on Monday, January 27, from 6:30 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m.

 

Local traffic will be allowed to use La. 308 up to the worksite area while the contractor, Coastal Bridge Company, replaces an additional damaged culvert under La. 308, located about 400 feet west of French Plantation Road.   

 

Alternate routes through the worksite are westbound – La. 3185 Bridge to La. 1 west, then La. 1247 Bridge; eastbound – La. 1247 Bridge to La. 1 east, then La. 3185 Bridge.

 

The work is part of a $2.2 million project to overlay La. 304 from the intersection of La. 308 – north of Thibodaux – to the intersection of La. 20, in Chackbay, and La. 308 from the intersection of La. 304 to the Assumption Parish line.
