DOTD to hold public meeting for proposed I-69 Project

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS

Notice is hereby given that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Federal Highway Administration will conduct open-forum Public Meetings for:

State Project No. 700-94-0003
Federal Aid Project No. HPI-69-1(001)
High Priority Corridor No. 18, Interstate I-69 SIU 15
From US 171 to I-20
Bossier, Caddo and DeSoto Parishes, Louisiana

The public meetings will be held at the following places and times:

Monday, August 2, 2010
4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Haughton Middle School
395 South Elm Street
Haughton, LA

Tuesday, August 3, 2010
4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
North DeSoto Parish High School
2571 Highway 171
Stonewall, LA

The purpose of the public meetings is to present revisions to the Preferred Alignment identified in the Interstate I-69 Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) based on comments received and to provide an opportunity for all interested parties to express their views regarding the Preferred Alignment revisions developed. All comments received during the public meetings and written comments post-marked by the end of the comment period will become part of the official public record for the Project. If you are unable to attend the Meeting, you may mail your comments to the address listed below.

Interested persons or their representatives are invited to be present at the above times and places to review the study materials and will be afforded an opportunity to express their views concerning the information presented. Information on the project can be viewed at http://www.i69dotd.com/

The cooperation and assistance of persons conforming to this request will be greatly appreciated. Written statements and comments should be handed to DOTD’s officials conducting the public meetings or mailed to the following address and will be considered if postmarked within ten (10) calendar days following the meetings.
