FHWA issued FONSI for US 84 Sabine River Bridge at Logansport

The FHWA has issued a FONSI report for the US 84 Sabine River Bridge at Logansport.

The proposed project would replace the Sabine River Bridge and widen U.S. 84 from two to four lanes from the end of the existing four-lane section in Texas to 15 feet west of the existing Union Pacific railroad crossing of U.S. 84 in Louisiana. Wetlands within the Sabine River floodplain would be impacted.

Approximately 1.2 acres of additional right-of-way (ROW) would be required in Texas and approximately 7.8 acres would be required within the Louisiana segment of the project.
