This is to advise that representatives of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the Federal Highway Administration will be presenting a two one-day seminars on Title VI. The first seminar will be held on July 20, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Transportation Training Education Center (TTEC) located on the LSU Campus. The TTEC’s address is 4099 Gourrier, Baton Rouge, La. 70808. The second seminar will be held on July 22, 2010, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum Auditorium in Shreveport. The address is 3015 Greenwood Rd., Shreveport.
The materials to be covered in the seminar will be invaluable to DOTD personnel, local governments, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, consultants and others with compliance responsibilities for the areas listed above. Therefore, it is important that individuals within your jurisdiction who are responsible for compliance in the above areas and individuals who work in or manage program areas subject to Title VI requirements attend this seminar. In accordance with Title VI regulatory requirements, this training is mandatory for those doing business with the LADOTD.
Seating is limited to 99 people per training session, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. This training is free of charge.
