DOTD to hold public meeting for proposed widening of La. 616

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will conduct an open house public hearing on Wednesday, April 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to discuss a proposed project to widen La. 616 from two to five lanes from Caldwell Road to La. 143 (Arkansas Road) in West Monroe.

The hearing will be held at the West Monroe Convention Center, located at 901 Ridge Avenue in West Monroe.

The purpose of this hearing is to provide information about the project and obtain input from interested parties. Issues to be addressed include preliminary road alignment, environmental concerns and socioeconomic issues. Representatives from DOTD will be in attendance to answer any questions.
