I-10 Widening Project lane closure update

THE FOLLOWING CLOSURES WILL BE IN PLACE EVERY NIGHT BEGINNING SUNDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 8 THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 12 (ENDING FRIDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 13).

 

Northbound and Southbound Bluebonnet at the I-10 overpass will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic in each direction from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning while crews work to remove existing concrete from the I-10 overpass.

 

Northbound and Southbound Siegen Lane at the I-10 overpass will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic in each direction from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning while crews work to remove existing concrete from the I-10 overpass.

 

Eastbound I-10 in Baton Rouge from Essen Lane to Pecue Lane will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning while crews work on embankment and the removal of the existing I-10 eastbound overpass over Bluebonnet and Siegen.

 

Westbound I-10 in Baton Rouge from Pecue Lane to the I-10 / I-12 split will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning while crews work on embankment and the removal of the existing I-10 westbound overpass over Siegen and Bluebonnet.

 

 

This closure will be in place every night beginning Monday night, November 9 through Thursday night, November 12 (ending Friday Morning, November 13).

 

Southbound Essen Lane will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic in each direction from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning while crews work on drill shaft installation. 

 

All closures will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zones.  The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using US 61 Airline Highway Sorrento Exit to I-12 Westbound to I-10.

 

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
