Perkins Road Widening Project lane closure update
Friday, November 13, 2009 at 8:51:26 AM

Eastbound and Westbound of Perkins Rd. (La 427) will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic from Hyacinth to Grand Ave. on Sunday, November 15, from 8:00 p.m. to Monday, November 16, at 6:00 a.m. while crews stripe the new roadway in both directions.  Flaggers and a pilot car will be directing traffic one direction at a time.  Bluebonnet Northbound and Southbound will also be reduced to one lane in each direction and right turns only will be allowed (No left turns will be allowed) during this time.  Also, Hyacinth will be closed, and all driveways between Grand Ave. and Hyacinth will be given limited or no access during this time.  This work is being done so that all lanes at the Bluebonnet / Perkins Rd. intersection can be opened to traffic.

This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.  The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using Highland Road, Siegen Lane, and Staring Lane.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
