UPDATE: I-10 Widening and Reconstruction Project Weekly Road Closures

Baton Rouge, La.
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces lane closures as part of the I-10 Widening Project in East Baton Rouge Parish. These closures, which are necessary for the progression of the project, will affect night traffic patterns. DOTD advises motorists that construction activities are contingent on weather conditions and may be subject to change.

Nighttime Closures:
  • Dalrymple Dr. from E. Lakeshore Dr. to March St.
  • Saturday, June 14 to Saturday, June 21
  • Full nightly closure from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • I-10 WB Dalrymple Dr. On and Off Ramp
  • Wednesday, June 18 to Saturday, June 21
  • Nightly closure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The on and off ramp will be closed at different times, one ramp will always remain open.
  • I-10 WB Louise St. Off-Ramp
  • Wednesday, June 18 to Saturday, June 21
  • Nightly closure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • I-10 WB Lorri Burgess Ave. On-Ramp
  • Wednesday, June 18 to Saturday, June 21
  • Nightly closure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • I-10 EB/ WB from College Dr. exit to Government St. exit
  • Sunday, June 22 to Monday, June 23
  • Mobile operation beginning at 9 p.m. on I-10 WB. I-10 EB will begin at 12 a.m. The operation will be finished by 5 a.m.

DOTD urges drivers to plan accordingly, allowing extra travel time and exercising caution when driving through construction zones. The safety of both the traveling public and construction workers is of utmost importance, and motorists should stay alert for work crews and their equipment.
