DOTD announces closure of La. 675 in New Iberia for drainage work

NEW IBERIA, La. - DOTD announces that La. 675 (S. Hopkins Street), from La. 182 (W. St. Peter Street) to Pershing Street, will be closed to traffic beginning Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. until Friday, September 12, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. weather permitting.
The road closure is necessary for the installation of drainage structures underneath the pavement.
Detour routes will be posted and consists of La. 674 (Admiral Doyle Drive), La. 14 (Center Street), La. 182 (St. Peter Street/ Main Street) and La. 31 (Chestnut Street).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the entire area.
