$1.8M preservation project set to kick-off on La. 3211 in St. Mary Parish

FRANKLIN, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) announces that beginning Friday, May 16, work will begin on a $1,794,500.89 project on La. 3211 in St. Mary Parish.
PROJECT LIMITS The project will begin at its railroad crossing with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway & Amtrak and end at the intersection of La. 182.
SCOPE OF WORK Work will consist of milling, treated subgrade, in-place cement stabilized base course, asphalt concrete overlay and related work.
WORK SCHEDULE Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
TRAVEL IMPACTS The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot width restriction and intermittent lane closures for the duration of the project.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area, but may encounter delays.
This project is estimated for completion in September 2025.
