LAFAYETTE, La.
- DOTD announces the following road conditions in the Acadiana region caused by severe weather. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.

ST. MARTIN PARISH
La. 347 from La. 328 to south of it junction with La. 678 (OPEN)
La. 347 from Poydras to Doyle Melancon (OPEN)
Henderson Roundabout (OPEN)

ACADIA PARISH
La. 95 from just north of Church Point to its junction with La. 95/La.1108 (OPEN)
La. 1097 from La. 95 to La. 98 (HIGH WATER SIGN)

During inclement weather, drivers should be aware and adhere to the following tips:

  • Do not drive, unless you must.
  • Do not drive distracted.
  • Turn around, do not drive through water. “Turn around, don’t drown.”
  • Be aware of wind gusts.
  • Avoid driving through areas with downed lines or other debris.
  • Never use cruise control when visibility is low or the road is wet.
  • Plan for more travel time.
  • Leave extra room between vehicles.
  • Always use headlights when windshield wipers are on. It is a law.
  • Never move any road closed signs.
