CORRECTION: Exit 44 to Kinder closed at I-10 WB at US 165 – Jefferson Davis Parish

Jefferson Davis Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a closure of Exit 44 to Kinder at Interstate 10 Westbound at US 165. The closure is scheduled to start Monday, May 5, 2025, and is expected to remain in place thorugh February 2026.
Traffic heading along I-10 Westbound will be swapped from the existing bridge to the new inside bridge.
The closure is necessary for work crews to construct the new I-10 WB bridge, travel lanes, exit ramp and on-ramp associated with State Project H.002980: I-10 Overpass over US 165.
Detour route:
Motorists are advised to detour using LA 101, then traveling north to US 165, or by using LA 101, then traveling south to US 90, and then west to US 165.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
