NOW OPEN: DOTD announces lane closure on Atchafalaya Basin Bridge for emergency repairs

UPDATE: Emergency repairs are now complete. The outside lane of I-10 eastbound at mile marker 127, along the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge, is now OPEN to traffic.
ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - DOTD announces that the outside lane of I-10 eastbound will be closed at mile marker 127 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) effective Friday, April 11, 2025 from 2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
This closure is necessary for crews to perform bridge deck repairs.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access through the area but will encounter delays.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with extreme caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
