H.014088 – US 61 (Airline Hwy) @ LA 427 (Perkins Rd) – Ascension Parish

Construction is underway for State Projects H.014088. This State Project is modify the intersection of US 61 and LA 427 by installing an additional left turn lane on US 61 NB onto LA 427, as well as to modifying LA 427 between US 61 and Perkins Oak Road in Ascension Parish.
LA 427 (Perkins Rd) will have nightly alternating lane closures between the intersections of Perkins Oak Rd. and US 61. These closures are scheduled to begin Sunday night, December 8th, 2024. Weeknight closures will take place between 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM Mondays thru Thursdays. Weekend closures may take place between 8:00 PM Fridays thru 4:00 AM Mondays. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone. One lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
These closure are necessary for removing the existing signal on Old Perkins at the Walmart access, as well as installing drainage structures.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
