UPDATE: Daily lane closures on I-10 EB & WB over the Calcasieu River Bridge - Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: This work is complete and all lanes are open to traffic.


Updated lane closure schedule:

I-10 WB
  • Monday 12/9 from 8:00am to 2:30pm
I-10 EB
  • Tuesday 12/10 - Wednesday 12/11 from 8:00am to 2:30pm daily
The lane closures are necessary for routine bridge inspection. All work is weather permitting. Wide loads shall be restricted to 14 feet. Motorists may use I-210 as a detour route.


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that I-10 Eastbound and Westbound over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) will have right lane closures, beginning Tuesday, December 3, 2024 through Friday, December 13, 2024.

Closure schedule:

I-10 EB
  • Tuesday 12/3 - Thursday 12/5 from 8:00am to 2:30pm daily
  • Wednesday 12/11 - Friday 12/13 from 8:00am to 2:30pm daily
I-10 WB
  • Friday 12/6 from 8:00am to 2:30pm
  • Saturday 12/7 - Sunday 12/8 from 7:00am to 3:00pm daily
  • Monday 12/9 - Tuesday 12/10 from 8:00am to 2:30pm daily
