DOTD to hold public hearing on proposed Essen Lane widening project

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD), in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), proposes to widen Essen Lane from the intersection of Perkins Road and Essen Lane to One Calais Avenue. An Open House Public Hearing for the proposed project has been scheduled at the following time and place:

Tuesday, December 17, 2013, 4:00 - 7:00 PM
Bluebonnet Public Library
9200 Bluebonnet Boulevard
Baton Rouge, LA 70810

Informational materials will be distributed and graphic displays will be available for viewing at the hearing. LDOTD representatives will be present to answer questions. A continuous presentation will be shown describing the project, alternatives studied, and impacts from the project, including wetlands and acquisition of right-of-way and relocation assistance. Verbal comments will be recorded and written comments will be accepted. Written statements can also be mailed to the address shown below. Statements postmarked within 10 days of this hearing will become part of the transcript of the hearing.
