ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 work will begin at Location 3 for the $4 million La. 321 bridge replacement project in St. Martin Parish.
As part of the work, the section of La. 321 located 0.7 miles west of La. 347 will be closed to the traveling public. This closure is estimated to be in place until spring 2025.
Construction work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Prior to closing the road at Location 3, on Tuesday, November 5, crews will also re-open the roadway at Location 2, approximately 1.1 miles south of La. 351. However, motorists will encounter lane closures at times in order for crews to finalize work outside of the roadway.
As a reminder for this project, road closures will be limited to one bridge site at a time and will be continuous from one location to the next. A detour route will be posted for each of the road closure locations, respectively.
The overall project is estimated to be complete in spring 2025.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
