LA 14 from Power Center Parkway to just north of US 90 improvement project to begin Monday, November 4, 2024 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the roadway improvements on LA 14 from Power Center Parkway to US 90 are scheduled to begin Monday, November 4, 2024.
Motorists should expect lane closures along LA 14 for the duration of the project. Initial closures are scheduled for the right lanes of LA 14 NB and SB from Broad Street (US 90 Business) to US 90. Signs will be posted along LA 14 to notify motorists of the lane closures.
Roadway improvements will include repairs to pavements, curbs, drainage pipe and catch basins. Upon completion of the repairs, the roadway will be overlaid with asphalt, and new pavement markings will be installed.
The entire $11.2 million project includes improvements to 3.3 miles of LA 14 and is estimated to be completed in the spring of 2026. Progressive Construction Co. is the project contractor.
