Judge Seeber Bridge Maintenance Project Update

The contractor has been working every day on the project since August 2, 2013. The crew is to working behind the tarp containment. . At the end of August, the contractor set the new estimated date of completion to mid-October weather-permitting. Crews are working 12-15 hours per day, depending on the weather and the operations for that day.
The week of October 3rd, the crew was to tarp the lift span and start blasting and painting operations on that section. With the possible delay created by Tropical Storm Karen, the contractor is still optimistic for opening the bridge to traffic in the mid/late October time frame. At that time, he contractor will still have work to perform that will require lane closures. This will last for approximately six weeks after.
