UPDATE: The closure scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2024, has been canceled because the work was finished ahead of schedule.

Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that US 165 Southbound at the I-10 Westbound on ramp to the I-10 Eastbound off ramp will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, and Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Detour routes:
US 165 SB:

  • Detour west onto LA 101, then south onto LA 383, then east onto LA 3258, then south onto US 165.
  • The I-10 Westbound on ramp will remain open to US 165 Southbound traffic.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
