UPDATE: The closure end time is now scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the right lane of Interstate 10 Westbound from Mile Marker 10 (Coone Gully Bridge) to Exit 8, and the Exit 8 ramp will be closed, starting 7 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, through 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Alternate Routes:
Motorists can exit onto LA 27 at Exit 21 going north, then left on US 90 West, left on LA 3063 in Vinton and use the on-ramp to re-enter I-10 WB.

For motorists trying to use Exit 8 on I-10 WB to reach LA 108, they should continue travelling West on I-10 WB and take Exit 7 going south to enter I-10 EB. From there they can continue on I-10 EB to Exit 8 for LA 108.

The closures are necessary for crews to perform shoulder reconstruction.
