***UPDATE***: DOTD Announces Upcoming I-12 East Closure

UPDATE: This closure has been extended through Monday, August 26.
Baton Rouge, La – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces an upcoming interstate closure associated with the College Drive Flyover project. Beginning Thursday night through Monday, I-12 eastbound will be closed at the I-10/I-12 split. This closure is necessary for crews to install bridge girders. The closure will begin at 10 P.M. each night and end at 5 A.M. the following morning. Please note that all construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
I-12 Eastbound:
- Full nightly closure from 10 P.M. to 5 A.M. Thursday, August 22-Monday, August 26.
Detour Information:
- Drivers should take I-10 east to the Essen Lane exit and proceed north on Essen Lane to access the I-12 east on-ramp.

DOTD appreciates your patience and we would like to remind drivers to exercise caution and drive with care through construction sites. Please be mindful of work crews and their equipment, and adhere to all posted signage and speed limits.
