UPDATE: Tuesday, July 23, 2024: Please note that daytime work scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday has been cancelled.
BELLE CHASSE, LA - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces the following scheduled construction activities and anticipated traffic impacts. As always, these anticipated impacts are weather-permitting and subject to potential changes.
Weekday Daytime Schedule (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
· Tuesday, 7/23 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd (switch to right lane for Toll Gantry @ end of the bridge) (Cancelled)
· Wednesday, 7/24 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd (Cancelled)
· Thursday, 7/25 - LA 23 southbound left lane closed from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd (Cancelled)
Weekend and Weekday Evening Schedule (7:30 PM-5:00 AM)
· Thursday, 7/25 - Old Belle Chasse Bridge will have 2-way traffic for upcoming traffic shift (TENTATIVE)
· Additional - Engineer’s Rd. closure for intersection striping (TENTATIVE)
